Citizendium Getting Started
Quick Start | About us | Help system | Start a new article | For Wikipedians

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Dan Nachbar 07:58, 23 March 2008 (CDT)

WELCOME to CZ -- I'm a history and military history editor and am glad to have you. One suggestion: please don't list ships under "History Workgroup" (with rare exceptions like the Lusitania). Eventually I think they will go into a separate ships workgroup. Meanwhile any suggestions you have on Naval warfare or Naval guns will be most welcome. Richard Jensen 00:03, 26 March 2008 (CDT)

Mission San Juan Capistrano

Robert, do you think the MSJC article ready for approval? Looks pretty good to me. Unless it's an import. Is it an import? Russell D. Jones 15:51, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

December 2012 elections

Would you be interested in being an author member of the Editorial Council? You can say no, of course, but so far we've only two nominees for the council, and they're both editors.-Derek Hodges 07:34, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Nomination for the Editorial Council

You have been nominated for an Author seat on the Editorial Council in the July-August Special Election. The nominator was myself. To accept or decline this nomination, please visit the Nominations page by midnight UTC on July 27th. You may write an election statement for each if you wish (linked from the Nominations page).

The Editorial Council seat expires on December 31st, 2013. In the event that Referendum 1 is passed, all seats will expire on June 30th, 2014. Thanks! John Stephenson 17:24, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Spanish Missions in California Subgroup

Hi - I have created a CZ subgroup to keep track of the mission articles here. Further articles can be added via the metadata forms. John Stephenson 14:54, 2 October 2013 (UTC)
