:It is automatically updated. Unfortunately there is a bug in wikimedia (also is a problem in wikipedia) that means it does not get updated unless you make a new edit to the relevant page. In this case the talk page for the article. See the minor edit I just made to Ampicillin and it is now removed from the category.
