Non-members
Countries that were formerly British-controlled that are not members of the Commonwealth include Bahrain, Burma (now Myanmar), The Gambia, Hong Kong, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
