Presently, I'm CTO at Genicorp (http://www.genicorp.fr), a French IT services company, and a partner in Ars Aperta (http://www.arsperta.com/en), a consulting firm focusing on open standards and open source software related strategies. In addtion, I'm a part-time information technology & telecom legal expert (i.e. I've been appointed by French courts for IT-related legal forensics).

My preferred areas are

- Business Intelligence and Decision Support Systems; - Data and application integration (EAI, SOA); - Free & Open Source Software (business models and legal issues); - Document formats (OpenDocument and connected areas).

I'm the developer/maintainer of the "OpenDocument Connector" free software projet (http://search.cpan.org/dist/OpenOffice-OODoc). While my native language is French, I published two articles about this product in English:

- Dr.Dobb's Journal http://www.ddj.com/dept/opensource/184416230 - The Perl Review (sorry, only one page available on line) http://www.theperlreview.com/SamplePages/ThePerlReview-v3i1.p18.pdf

As another example (in English), I've a presentation support focused on Decision Support Systems at http://jean.marie.gouarne.online.fr/presentation/dss/decision_support.html

I wrote many other articles in French, and a 250-page book dedicated to the decision support systems ("Le Projet Décisionnel", Eyrolles, Paris 1998).

My academic background is twofold: I've a Master's degree in Information Systems and another one in Law (Universités de Paris). I'm a part-time professor at the Ecole Centrale d'Electronique (Paris). [User-supplied bio goes here]----
