Welcome!
Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Some ideas for contributions
Hej Jens, welcome aboard CZ. Hayford has already given you some hints as to how things work here in general, and I wish to add some more practical suggestions on what possibilities you have to contribute. For a start, I just took some of the keywords from the information you supplied upon registration, and display below the current state of related CZ articles (for icon documentation, see Template:Rpl/Doc):
- Library [r]: Collection of books and periodicals. [e]
- Information [r]: Knowledge of specific events or situations that has been gathered or received by communication; intelligence or news. [e]
- Information science [r]: Add brief definition or description
- Source criticism [r]: Add brief definition or description
- Publication bias [r]: Tendency for researchers, editors, and companies to handle the reporting of experimental results that are positive differently from results that are negative or inconclusive. [e]
- Academic journal [r]: A regularly-published, peer-reviewed publication that publishes scholarship relating to an academic discipline. [e]
- Scientific journal [r]: A publication venue for original research and scholarly review articles — for more than three centuries on paper and now increasingly online. [e]
- Impact factor [r]: A widely used annual measure of how often the papers recently published in an academic journal have been cited in the academic literature. [e]
- Danish language [r]: Add brief definition or description
- Denmark [r]: Constitutional monarchy and multiparty democracy (population c. 5.5 million; capital Copenhagen); the most southerly Scandinavian nation, comprising the Jutland Peninsula, the islands of Sjaelland, Fyn, Lolland and Falster, and more than 400 smaller islands. [e]
- Copenhagen [r]: Capital and largest city of Denmark. [e]
In order to find articles dealing with similar topics, it's also worth looking at the Related Article subpages of such an article (or the [r]).
Furthermore, in case you are involved in homework assignments, please consider doing so via Eduzendium articles.
Finally, you can help future newcomers by giving your feedback on the above suggestions. To do so, please leave a note on my talk page.
Looking forward to fruitful collaborative editing, --Daniel Mietchen 20:01, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
