...

I was born in London in 1950, and have a degree in English from Peterhouse, Cambridge. For many years I worked as a teacher of the language, first near Mâcon, France, in a Lycée Agricole, then in Mondovì, Italy, then with many nationalities in Beckenham, Kent, and finally in various locations in Portugal, where my wife is a primary school teacher: we live in Esposende.

I can translate from those languages as well as from German and Latin. I came across Citizendium when I looked in Wikipedia for the latter's history. There, 'Rothorpe' [1] does mainly copyediting, though I have created a number of articles, including List of artworks known in English by a foreign title, which is virtually a solo effort.
