Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

A good place to find information about various collaborative groups is to follow this link to CZ:Workgroups. Of course, please feel free to ask myself (via my talk page) or others about how to proceed or if you have other questions.

Also, as a start, I have put a copy of the bio from your email on your "User" page.

Best regards,

Paul, I notice you've not provided full details of where you sourced this image, plus newspaper scans may constitute copyright violation. Please provide some evidence that CZ can use this image, and see CZ:Introduction_to_CZ_for_Wikipedians#Images for more information. Regards, John Stephenson 21:01, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

At present, we don't allow images under 'fair use' - we're working on it. Probably it will be licensable in the future, so for now I have changed the permission to 'copyrighted'. You could try asking the Boston Globe what their policy is on scans for websites. John Stephenson 21:01, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
I've commented it out from the article. I also deleted it while you seek permission but as soon as you upload permission to File:Smithnewspaper.jpg/Permission per Help:Images#Documenting free content releases and images by permission I'll restore it. I suspect the Boston Globe will be amenable to allowing the image to be used, but they will probably look at the article first, and perhaps elsewhere, and we DO NOT want to be hosting the image in that instance!  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 03:17, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
