Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

Problem editors
Hello - I finally joined after tendentious editing at Wikipedia got too much. First question, how is that issue dealt with here? Everyone at the 'other place' agrees that the problem is not so much the obvious trolls, but the ones who stick by the rules, just, but make life painful for other editors by repetitive questions, tendentious editing, filling up talk pages with nonsense, Wikilawyering the most obvious points.
Is there anything like a 'moderator' function here? I.e. the power to terminate protracted threads or 'calling time' when the discussion is not fulfilling the purpose of getting the article written? Edward buckner 02:39, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- Sorry, I did not understand your message. If you check out Tito's talk page, he appears to be bona fide. Unless it's all really screwed up. Could you clarify, thanks. Edward buckner 05:57, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- Until a couple of minutes ago, my user page had Robert Tito's original biography. I am not him. He's a moderator of some sort for Citizendium. Some joker thought it would be funny to merge my page with his and several others. It got a little murky. Check out the thread titled "dont' delete" on Mr. Tito's talk page for more info. --Jeffrey A. Morton 06:07, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- An explanation . The real Robert Tito is a respected constable. The apparent message from him was caused by a vandal who used a fake address and shuffled user identities by a process the constabulary now seem to have under control. I will shortly erase the graffiti from the history logs that traces this incident but we keep other records of it. Warning this will involved a short templorary file delete so hold on it will be restored. Constable David Tribe 06:13, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- Graffiti removal complete. All done. Constables will now lock both pages as additional securirity agaist vandalism specially for you against moves and leave you in peace David Tribe 06:28, 13 February 2007 (CST)
