My expertise is regarding stuttering and its treatments. I stuttered severely until the age of 30, in 1992, despite completing seven speech therapy programs. I then developed electronic technology that enabled me to speak fluently. I founded the company Casa Futura Technologies to manufacture these devices. I wrote two books about stuttering ("Stuttering: Science, Therapy & Practice" and "No Miracle Cures: A Multifactorial Guide to Stuttering Therapy"), both Amazon bestsellers for the keyword "stuttering." I am a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and was invited to speak at its annual convention in a panel discussion about technology for treating stuttering. I was invited to present a paper on the same topic at the 8th World Congress for People Who Stutter in 2007, and have been invited to present a paper at the 9th World Congress for People Who Stutter in 2011. Casa Futura Technologies is the leading manufacturer of medical technology for treating stuttering. The devices have been proven effective in twenty clinical trials, including one trial with hypokinetic dysartrhia, the speech disorder associated with Parkinson's disease.
