I am a midwest USA- based independent scholar and writer, with interests in technical sciences, humanities and the theater. My primary research interests are virtual community development and home/small community related technology development that are useful in rural communities and third world countries.

In addition, I have been published in playwriting, international poetry anthology(s), and a number of pre-web technical articles, and assisted in the development of one of the first generic screen based text-to-speech readers available for a microcomputer, way back in the days of the Apple II.
