I am the technology coordinator for St. Francis Xavier School in LaGrange, Illinois. I am a governing board member of Illinois Computing Educators, which is an affiliate of the International Society of Technology in Education. Except for this year, I am a regular presenter at the annual conference.

In my position of technology coordinator, I work collaboratively with the classroom teachers in grades 2 through 8 to design and implement activities and projects that use technology. I instruct students on how to use software applications as well as how to use the internet. We explore resources and learn to locate and evaluate the information. In addition to my work as a teacher, I also design and implement professional development for the teachers in my school as well as for schools throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. I hold frequent workshops to help teachers gain competency with computer use in their professional and personal lives. I am a member of the Technology Advisory Committee for the Archdiocese of Chicago, which is responsible for implementing the technology integration plan for the schools in the archdiocese.
