The Focault Foundation was established in 2010. The foundation is based in the Van Wittel Palace in Naples Italy. The building known as liquid palace was designed by architect Étienne-Louis Boullee. The Foundation aims to study the relationship between contemporary art and philosophy. The Foundation is also involved in tourism development by promoting Mediterranean unfamiliar geographic locations. It houses a photographic archive and a specialized library [more than five thousand volumes]. A large group of photographs of Russ Colombo has recently merged with Foucault in the archives of the Foundation. Since 2010 Prof.Viktor Grobheiten University of Monaco has been curator of the photographic officer of the Foundation.
