I am a third year college student seeking a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. Currently my interests focus on research in the field of neuroscience as well as in the overlap of biological and psychological research. The contribution I am hoping to make to Citizendium is an article on the presence of stereotype judgments in the brain. Recent research has been showing that stereotypical responses to both race and gender responses are automatic, and show significant activation in the amygdala and prefrontal cortex.
