Jeffrey Kleinberg, PhD, CGP, FAGPA, is a Licensed Psychologist, who received his doctorate from Columbia University in 1975, a former editor of the Journal GROUP, and currently President-elect of the American Group Psychotherapy Association. He is a training analyst at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, a faculty member of DeVry University, and an author of many professional articles, on psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mid-life issues, and group and organizational dynamics. He has made numerous presentations at professional organizations including conferences sponsored by the American Psychological Association, the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society, and both the British and Israeli Group Analytic Institutes. After 9/11, Dr. Kleinberg coordinated a major relief effort with survivors in the financial community, and later worked with caregivers in New Orleans after Katrina, and via Video Skype in India, after the terror attacks, and also through Video Skype in China after the earthquakes. He has trained more than 1000 mental health professionals in trauma counseling. He currently is Professor Emeritas at LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York, where he taught, counseled and managed for 30 years.
