Mr. Bentson-Royal is a an educator and technology specialist living in SouthWest Washington State. His formal education include two bachelors' degrees, a teaching certificate, and a Master of Education degree. He has been adjunct faculty for University of Portland as well as Seattle Pacific University. His current position is Director of Technology for the La Center School District where he is responsible for recommending, implementing, supporting, and evaluating technical implementations within the district.

His initial degree from Washington State University put him in front of high school, middle school, and elementary band programs for over a dozen years. Though his musical training is not much more than an avocation at present, it serves as a great source of joy for him and modest embarrassment for his family. As an experienced technology presenter, teacher, administrator, musician, father, soccer coach, referee, avid Scrabble player and a fledgling woodworker, his varied experience and passion for learning provide ample opportunity for him to seek new challenges in a variety of endeavors.
