My name is Chau Doan. I'm an undergraduate student at CUNY-Queens College. My major is Nutrition and my minor is biology and chemistry. I expect to graduate in 2010. I finish all the requirements for my major in Fall 2009. For the ultimate goal in the future, I wish to gain acceptance to dental school for entry in Fall 2010. In the mean time, while I'm still waiting, I wish to double major in Biology. Depending on the schedule conflict, I don't know if this is possible yet. I have my growing interests more and more in science. As it trains me to be an independent and logical thinker.

I participated in this web page Citizendium for a grading assignment in my Microbiology class in school. My professor, Dr. John Dennehy, gave us a list of microorganisms to choose and I chose Wheat Streak Mosaic Virus. I collected information about Wheat Streak Mosaic Virus from the internet. I tried to understand many aspects (classification, significance, genome, ecology, etc) of the virus from the information as much as i could. From this wikipedia page, i tried to write from what i processed. Probably there were mistakes and errors here and there. However, i still tried to do the best as i could to put on information with accuracy. The information of the virus were written in simplified languages, not the technical writing of research articles. So i hope the page would gain access to everybody.

Upon finishing this project, i have to thank Dr. Dennehy and James Carpino for helping me so much. I've bothered both for pictures editing, suggestions, ways of how to ask for permission, and where to find information. I also would like to thank the researchers: Dr. Marcia McMullen, Dr. TJ Higgins, Dr. Roy French and Dr. Peter Cross for their quick responses and permissions to use the images in their research articles. I wouldn't made it without your help.

Again, as you go through the page of Wheat Streak Mosaic Virus that i make, you may find errors in there. Since i am not an expert of virology, i write the page from my understanding of the virus. I'll be happy to update and edit it again to make the scientific information more precise and free of error. I'm open to suggestions and comments. And i would like to thank you Dr. Dennehy, James Carpino, Dr.Marcia McMullen, Dr. TJ Higgins, Dr. Roy French and Dr. Peter Cross for your time and help again. I really appreciate it!!!
