Albert has made his home in Faust, Alberta, Canada, since 1966.
Born and raised in Amsterdam, he migrated to witness in staid Canada the youthful social movement of the sixties from northern Alberta. The music began there, culminating in some forty years of North Country tunes. Albert is no stranger to performing, having played and sung at many events since the seventies. Albert brings 'interesting melodies, good lyrics' , ranging from novelty tunes to jazz, country to classical, roots and ethnic, in stylings combining guitar, mouth organ, electric bass, and vocals, for an exciting contemporary sound in a unique repertoire of original (modern transnational) music.
He is an artist of many talents that include drawing and writing. He has written, produced, and performed plays, and has self-published a novel 'THIOT: Runesong of the ErilaR Masters' which features powerful writing that takes northern mythology where it has never been, relating the tale of a history real and imagined ~ in which the subject is the story itself.
