Just a tad stronger than the restriction Daniel proposed above:
- For the purpose of the ratification of this Charter and the initial elections to the Councils, any Citizen who has made at least one edit to a live article and whose account is not blocked shall have the right to vote.
Is that too much? -Joe Quick 05:38, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- What would keep someone from coming in, making an edit, and then voting. Maybe a deadline, like, "prior to such-n-such-date". D. Matt Innis 12:21, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with Matt; what about "at least 60 days before the [call for ratification]". Howard C. Berkowitz 15:12, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Summing up:
For the purpose of the ratification of this Charter and the initial elections to the Councils, all Citizens shall have the right to vote whose account has been created at least 30 days prior to the call for ratification and never blocked since.
- I'm fine with any positive N up to about 60, with a preference for 30. --Daniel Mietchen 23:22, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with 30. D. Matt Innis 00:50, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with 30, although I'm fascinated with the idea of negative N. Howard C. Berkowitz 00:59, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agree. I added 30 to the text. --Russell D. Jones 01:08, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Grammar fix:
- For the purpose of the ratification of this Charter and the initial elections to the Councils, all Citizens shall have the right to vote whose accounts have been created at least 30 days prior to the call for ratification and never blocked since.
- "Never blocked since" or "not currently blocked"? -Joe Quick 04:24, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Next try:
For the purpose of the ratification of this Charter and the initial elections to the Councils, all Citizens shall have the right to vote whose accounts were created at least 30 days prior to the call for ratification and have never been blocked
since.- --Daniel Mietchen 11:21, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Grammar fix:
- Agree (with removed since) D. Matt Innis 17:11, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Matt, by removing "since", it reads to me as if ever having been blocked prevents voting. --Howard C. Berkowitz 17:14, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Good catch, since still doesn't work, though. Am i missing something?
For the purpose of the ratification of this Charter and the initial elections to the Councils, all unblocked Citizens shall have the right to vote whose accounts were created at least 30 days prior to the call for ratification.
- Agree Russell D. Jones 17:31, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
:Agree. --Daniel Mietchen 23:18, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

- It parses a little strangely. Does this sound right? -Joe Quick 04:35, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
