I know of two problems.

First, I am trying to cite Comins for information in the first two paragraphs but I don't know how to use Wiki markup so the endnotes aren't showing up correctly.

Secondly, I cited an entry I wrote in an encyclopedia for the last paragraph. I'm not intentionally citing myself. This was the easiest way for me to find the information.

In that encyclopedia entry I cited a source which has the information I've used in this article. I am thinking I should cite that source in this article. If I do that, I don't have the page number of the original source handy for the information in this article which was included in my encyclopedia entry. If I cite the source from my encyclopedia entry in this article, then should I remove the reference to my encyclopedia entry? I think that would make sense. Looks like Derek has assisted with the endnotes issues.

With respect to citing oneself: sometimes, one has to. Assuming we've picked a bona fife expert to be an Editor, and especially if it's an esoteric topic, sometimes an Author/Editor's own work will be the most recent, the most comprehensive, or even the only work on the subject. If you need another opinion, ask someone else to take a look, but otherwise, just do what you did: use it and note it on the TALK page. (You'll soon hear about it if people think you've done wrong!)

Thanks for your guidance on this matter Aleta.

I'm trying to create small articles quickly and this morning I did not know just where my source was. I will get around to updating the reference in the near future. It's not the impression I'd like to give the world that I cite my small encyclopedia entries in my spare time ;). I'm in a job search while I finish a manuscript so I'm taking shortcuts learning the ropes here.

I really appreciate your feedback.
