C-40A Clipper

The C-40A Clipper is a transport aircraft used by the United States Armed Forces.[1][2][3] The plane is a derivative of the Boeing 737.
The planes can be configured to carry either[1]:
- 121 passengers;
- 8 x 5,000-pound cargo pallets
- 70 passengers and three pallets.
The plane replaces the C-9B. The United States Navy will eventually purchase 32 aircraft.[1]
A squadron flying the planes are based at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego California (U.S. state).[1]
