The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or LDS Church is a self-described Christian denomination founded in 1830 by Joseph Smith, Jr. and currently headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Members of the LDS Church are often referred to as Latter-Day Saints or Mormons.
