Lithium is a chemical element, having the chemical symbol Li.

Its atomic number (the number of protons) is 3. It has a Standard Atomic Weight of 6.941(2), and is typically found as a solid in its elemental form.
Lithium is considered to be a member of the "Alkali metal" class of elements, has a boiling point of 1342 °C , and a melting point of 180.5 °C .

Substance withdrawal syndrome may occur after discontinuing lithium.[1][2]
Nuclear engineering
