What's with the userlist in special pages? It lists a bunch of accounts that aren't names. Why do they exist? -- Melanie St Clair 10:51, 22 December 2006 (CST)

It should be anonymous that created accounts. --Versuri 11:23, 22 December 2006 (CST)
A few of those accounts are test accounts made by Larry Sanger or the tech guys in the early days of the wiki that they were scared to delete for fear of making pages explode (which happened once). The rest are likely people who didn't read the directions and then had to remake their accounts the right way. As far as I know, none of those accounts that aren't names have write-access on the wiki, since the personnel people only give access to proper names. We just haven't cleared off those improper names because deleting accounts is time-consuming and possibly dangerous. --ZachPruckowski 14:19, 23 December 2006 (CST)
