Characters

Warning: some spoilers follow

  • Deckard (Harrison Ford): 'Blade Runner' cop assigned by Bryant to hunt down the escaped replicants.
  • Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer): leader of the replicants; Batty intends to find a way to extend the four-year-lifespan of his kind.
  • Rachael (Sean Young): assistant to Tyrell and, unknowingly, an experimental Nexus-6 replicant with false memories from Tyrell's niece.
  • Pris (Daryl Hannah): replicant lover of Roy Batty, a "basic pleasure model" who convinces Sebastian to hide her and Roy.
  • J.F. Sebastian (William Sanderson): genetic designer whose sympathy for the replicants leads Batty to Tyrell.
  • Eldon Tyrell (Joe Turkel): head of the Tyrell Corporation, the genius who created the replicants as slaves for humanity.
  • Bryant (M. Emmet Walsh): police captain and Deckard's boss; he calls in Deckard after Holden is incapcitated while trying to identify the replicants hiding on Earth.
  • Gaff (Edward James Olmos): cop who brings Deckard to Bryant and follows Deckard's progress in eliminating the replicants.
  • Leon (Brion James): one of the replicants, designed for heavy lifting work and somewhat short on intelligence.
  • Zhora (Joanna Cassidy): another replicant, working undercover as an exotic dancer as opposed to her original purpose, assassination.
  • Holden (Morgan Paull): Blade Runner replaced by Deckard after he is shot by Leon while screening new workers at the Tyrell Corporation.
  • Hannibal Chew (James Hong): geneticist, an eye designer for replicants whom Batty and Leon call on for information that leads them to Sebastian.
  • Taffey Lewis (Hy Pyke): sleazy bar owner and Zhora's employer; his purchase of an artificial snake for Zhora's act leads Deckard to her.
