Is it correct to call a mashup a form of data visualization?

Some years ago, students wrote an article on mashups, and I think that those might be considered a complex form of data visualization. But I'm not quite sure, since I'm no great expert on any of this. So I'll just point to it here and let someone else handle the matter. Or not.Pat Palmer (talk) 06:33, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

Not a term I have ever heard, perhaps was used some time ago. However, the page certainly looks like a form of data visualisation, although the link on the page now points to musical mashups, nothing related to data.Andrew Watson (talk) 07:30, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

this article is great and would be even better with some graphics

Graphics would be helpful to illustrate the different ways of visualizing data. If you are able to create .jpg files of some graphics for this purpose, I will be happy to assist you in uploading them and adding them to the article. Learning to upload photos to the wiki is a learning curve, so please put a message on my Talk page if you would like help.Pat Palmer (talk) 18:46, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

similar article - merge?

Someone a long time ago started Scientific_visualization, which is similar to this one. Are there any things there worth merging into here? Maybe that one should be deleted, as I think they are much the same thing. Or am I mistaken?Pat Palmer (talk) 15:23, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
