The Wii is a video game console from Nintendo, launched in November 2006 and part of the seventh generation of game consoles intended for the home. It is the most popular console of this generation, having outsold the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation as of 2009. [1] It is controlled by means of a wireless, motion-sensitive controller called a Wii Remote, and optionally a thumbstick-based device called a Nunchuck.
