Þ, þ is a letter of the Runic alphabet, then adopted in two variants of the Latin alphabet: in Icelandic and in Old and Middle English. Its English name is thorn [ˈθɔːn]. It is pronnounced [θ] or [ð] in English, depending on its position in the word. It is pronounced [θ] in Icelandic.
