MeSH is confusing here

While I recognize the definition is technically correct, I'd rather see this titled "ventilation", to differentiate it from lay perceptions of completely manual methods from mouth-to-mouth, and to mostly obsolete methods such as back-pressure-arm-lift and the original (Sylvester?) method of back pressure. There are still rare field medicine applications for situations when you don't have any kind of airway -- mouth to mouth is a really bad idea for a patient who swallowed a respiratory poison.--Howard C.
