Among my favorite Murphy's Laws of Combat

"When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is no longer our friend."

I think it's apocryphal, but the tale is told of a grandmotherly type in a rough part of Manhattan, who grew tired of resisting purse snatchers. Where does this fit
