- Arthur Conan Doyle was the guest of honour at a Burns Club Dinner on 23 March 1901 (having been deferred because of Queen Victoria's death) and he proposed 'The Immortal Memory'. In 1993, the ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE SOCIETY reprinted the speech in a limited edition of 50 numbered copies.
