John Adkins is a librarian at a small university in West Virginia. He has graduate degrees in Library Science and Humanities (Historical Studies) and has published and presented in both fields. He currently teaches West Virginia History & Historiography at the university and is preparing a new course on research methods. John's research interests include copyright law, the research process, Library 2.0, and West Virginia labor history with an emphasis on the story of the Baldwin-Felts Detective Agency.

John is a avid wargamer and has served on the board of directors of HMGS-Great Lakes.
