"The Higgs boson is the last particle in the Standard Model of particle physics to be observed"
- So all the different leptons, quarks, antileptons and antiquarks have been observed? Peter Jackson 16:12, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
- Peter: I don't know. My wording simply reflected what was written before. Perhaps the definition and this lead sentence should be changed. The lead sentence is easy: change "last" to "latest". The definition: "The last particle, first proposed by Peter Higgs, in the Standard Model of particle physics which has not been observed." clearly is wrong, and anyway it is silly to use this approach to identify a particle simply by when it was observed.
