Glasgow is Scotland's largest city and the third largest in the United Kingdom. Locals, known as 'Glaswegians', number some 630,000 within the city, which is well-known for its distinctive Scottish English accent and the widely-spoken local forms of the Scots language. It is a strong business centre, while in sport it is the host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
