Maxine Lapiduss

Maxine Lapiduss, born in 1961, is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School and received her B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama.[1][2][3][4]. Lapiduss is a comedienne and performer who has written for such television shows as Dharma & Greg, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Ellen, Roseanne, and Home Improvement for which she was nominated for an Emmy in 1993. Since appearing in Dawn of the Dead in 1978, Lapiduss has performed in such comedy clubs as The Duplex, Caroline's, Freddy's Supper Club, The Improvisation, Catch a Rising Star, and The Bottom Line. In 2002, she co-founded Steeltown Entertainment, which promotes filmmaking in Pittsburgh, and continues to serve on its board.<ref name="Lapiduss-5">http://www.steeltownentertainment.org/index.php?id=5.
