The Pound is the official currency of the British colony of Gibraltar. It is tied to the Pound Sterling at a ratio of 1 Gibraltarian Pound to 1 Pound Sterling. Like the Pound Sterling, the Pound sign is used with the letter 'G' placed in front to distinguish it from other currencies called the Pound.
