Aluminum (American English) or aluminium[1] (British English and the form used by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) is a chemical element with the atomic number Z = 13.
It is the most reactive post-transition element metal, the third most abundant element in the Earth's crust, and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust.
