Outline (planned)

This is the outline that I'm considering at the moment:

  • Informal introduction
  • Example: Newton's equations and conservation of momentum
  • Formal statement in Lagrangian and Hamiltonian framework, and some examples
  • Formal statement for systems evolving on manifolds, and some examples
  • Field theory
