CZ:Policy on Self-Promotion

Jump to search
The Citizendium must not be used for self-promotion. This has several consequences.
- You may not, even if you are a topic informant, start or directly edit an article about yourself, or any company, organization, website, or other entity with which you are closely associated. Such articles may be deleted summarily.
- You may not add links to articles with which you are associated. You must request that others do this for you. Adding such links will not count as a request; anyone who notices that you are the principal behind a website that you have placed on a website should remove the link to the talk page.
- We strongly frown upon editing articles about ourselves. The only permitted exception is to correct straightforward errors. Notice that a difference of opinion is not a "straightforward error." If the Citizendium article about you brings you no joy, consult the Topic Informant Workgroup; do not take matters into your own hands.
