John, thanks for your work here. How should I interpret your nomenclature? Are the ones noted with "copyright" or "fair use" needing to be deleted or just questionable? D. Matt Innis 16:38, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for looking over this. I am not claiming that all these be deleted because in some case I am unsure whether they are copyvios. The difference between "fair use" and "copyrighted" is only slight, if any, because I assume 'fair use' is claimed for all. Generally, there is a red box template on the ones marked "copyrighted" which says that the material is or may be considered 'fair use', while on the ones which are marked "fair use" in the table, there is also some attempt at a rationale. Maybe the former are more likely candidates for deletion. This is all up for debate on the forums and the EC, though. The ones I think are copyvios are the ones that say "no real name" or just "no info". There are also ones where the source is a dead link, so effectively may be copyvios. Okay, thanks, John, for clarifying. I, too, am keeping an eye on the forum before acting, but please remind me if I get distracted or the conversation dies without decision. D. Matt Innis 01:32, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
No problem. I have removed a few from the list that I've since found data for; others I've tagged for speedy deletion, with an explanation for each. I have also removed the suspect ones from any pages they were on - I don't think any of them are essential to the articles anyway, but if proven wrong they can be put back.
