Bot request page

This page is meant as a place to organize information concerning bots. Its purpose is to help the author of a bot to document his/her request for an account to run their bot. Constables will create an account once all of the failsafe procedures have been accomplished. It is also meant to be a place for anyone to leave feedback or requests concerning needs and activities of bots.

Modify Active Editors lists Purpose Modify the lists of Active Editors in the Workgroups so as to delete newcomers who not yet made any contribution. Currently they are included as being active because they have not been members long enough to be inactive for a long period. Daniel Meitchen has said he will develop this bot when he has time. Milton Beychok 19:42, 1 October 2009 (UTC) Account {{{Account}}} Documentation Test Results Approval Feedback There is a manual option to achieve this goal if you can wait three months — if new CZ Editors were not automatically assigned the category Category:CZ Editors but rather something like Category:New CZ Editors. A bot would then be required, however, to transfer them to either Category:CZ Editors or Category:Inactive CZ Editors after three months. In addition, a script could speed up the switch from our current to the new system (should it be adopted), acting much in the sense Milt proposed, but only once. --Daniel Mietchen 06:41, 6 October 2009 (UTC) edit
