I've read somewhere that James Cook could travel so far (Polynesia) because he prevented scurvy among his crew by forcing them to eat sauerkraut. Is this a historic fact or an urban myth? --Paul Wormer 12:04, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

By searching for James Cook I found an answer to my question: History of vitamin C. This is not where I read it first, I recall that I read it in a (paper) book. --Paul Wormer 14:15, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
