A bookmobile is a bus fitted with bookshelves and workstations which acts as a mobile branch library. Bookmobiles are intended for neighborhoods or small towns interested in borrowing books but lacking funds for branch libraries, neighborhoods with branch libraries under renovation, and schools located at an inconvenient or unsafe walking distance form branch libraries.
