Super Mario Bros. is a video game developed and published by Nintendo in late 1985 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Featuring bright, expansive worlds and smoothly scrolling gameplay, Super Mario Bros. made a huge impact on home entertainment and is now considered a classic of the medium. Super Mario Bros. is a landmark in game design and changed the way video games were created.

Gameplay

The player moves through the levels of the game, beating obstacles to reach the end. There are eight "worlds". In each world, the player scrolls to the end of four levels, with each world ending in a battle with Bowser, the major villan. After the last world's battle with Bowser, the player has rescued Princess Toadstool and has beaten the game.
