Ozone

Ozone (chemical symbol O₃) is a compound of oxygen that contains three oxygen atoms. It is produced in the Earth's stratosphere when ultraviolet radiation causes diatomic oxygen (O₂) to dissociate into two single oxygen atoms (O). The oxygen atoms then react with an O₂ to produce O₃.
