Ro, I don't mean to dash your efforts, but I'm not so sure that having a date/year/subject category is appropriate for Citizendium. This is one of the menacing problems that Wikipedia has, and also has lead to many, MANY disputes-- specifically about what category a particular subject belongs to.
I can understand creating the categories for the sake of adding content, but I don't think it really has any relevancy in the long term and keeping them straightened is an organizational nightmare . --Robert W King 15:13, 27 December 2007 (CST)

There is some kind of misunderstanding here. I haven't been trying to create any sort of category, wouldn't know how, & certainly not a date/year/subject category. Sorry, in the dark here - Ro Thorpe 15:48, 27 December 2007 (CST)

Now that I saw, yeah, I'm confused too. I am clearly losing face here. I defer to Aleta? --Robert W King 16:32, 27 December 2007 (CST)
Wha? Who? Why ask me??? I checked the history again, it looks like Ro meant to import an external link from WP and inadvertently brought over some cats we don't have. No sweat, I took 'em out. Aleta Curry 17:06, 27 December 2007 (CST)

Well, anyway, I appreciate that Ro is trying to contribute, a small glitch in content focus is all. Besides that, I would not have even taken a look at the guy until this article popped up. Went over to the ARC archives, Wow! Glad I saw this article. Thanks for putting it here Aleta. --Thomas Simmons 01:29, 28 December 2007 (CST)

Ah, I see now, & understand Aleta's bewilderment. Apologies, I must have been sleep-puting - Ro Thorpe 07:41, 28 December 2007 (CST)
Not at all, Ro, no apologies needed. Thomas, thanks for the kind words. Are you familiar with the work of Maud Earl and the talented but tortured Edwin Landseer? What do you think, was he brilliant to the end, or completely maudlin? Aleta Curry 15:32, 29 December 2007 (CST)
Maud Earl was Maud-lin? Cle-ver :) Not familiar with her work. Is there an archive of her work to view?
