Tilburg University (Universiteit van Tilburg), and formerly known as the Catholic University of Brabant (Katholieke Universiteit Brabant) is located in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Tilburg University was founded in 1927, making it one the younger Universities in the Netherlands. It is a fully accredited government financed university with almost 10,000 students, specialising in the social sciences and humanities and has five faculties: Economics and Business Administration, Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Humanities (Communication, Culture, Philosophy, Religion) and the Catholic Faculty of Theology. Within these faculties, more than twenty bachelor programmes and almost fifty master programmes are offered, some of which have an interdisciplinary character.
Tilburg University is being ranked amongst the best in the Netherlands, and Europe based on several external review committees.
