America United is a fireboat commissioned in Boston in 2011, by the Massachusetts Port Authority.[1] Her name was chosen to honor the passengers on board one of the airliners destroyed when Al-Qaeda attacked ordinary United States citizens on September 11, 2001.

She was 80 feet long, and can project more than 6000 gallons per minute.[2]
