The Office is an American television series developed by Greg Daniels, adapted from a British series of the same name created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. In the show The Office is based in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Despite initial fears that the American version would not gain the same critical success of the much-loved British version, The Office airs to continually-high ratings and is currently in its fourth season. The show has won several awards.
It airs Thursday nights on NBC.
