Is it better to have a rough draft on the workspace for people to fix, or to keep it in my sandbox until I never get around to making it look good? User:Jacob F. Roecker

It seems there's a lot of things that aren't in the archives yet. Looking at how many "red" links I generated. I don't mind helping to get them to turn blue--I'd just need to know how polished they should be.

What category do I place this in? Are categories a requirement for contribution, or does the community help me out there--since I'm really new?

Don't worry about categories - someone has come along and put in the subpage template for you. As time goes on you'll get to grips with it (It took me long enough!)
As to my main point: Shouldn't this be renamed? I'm pretty sure the Yanks aren't the only people to have declared independence, and had a document drawn up to that affect :-) Denis Cavanagh 13:56, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
