In biology and medicine, S-adenosylmethionine is a "physiologic methyl radical donor involved in enzymatic transmethylation reactions and present in all living organisms. It possesses anti-inflammatory activity and has been used in treatment of chronic liver disease."[1]
S-adenosylmethionine's role in treating liver disease is uncertain.[2]
S-adenosylmethionine may help osteoarthritis[3][4][5][6][7]; however, the limited research may be affected by publication bias.
